For decades Pete Bennett kept track of deaths near him. Pete met, knew, chatted with, talked to, had phones or was connected at one point to nearly every victim. His connection to the Peterson took over a decade to emerge.
Some are that 6 degrees of separation whittled down to very close.

John Daniel Van Voorhis 65, Born in Oakland, June 18, 1939. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Daniel Van Voorhis on March 8, 2005, lifelong resident of the bay area and most recently residing in San Francisco. Dan died peacefully at California Pacific Medical Center with his children at his side from heart and liver failure.
Dan grew up in Walnut Creek, where he graduated from Los Lomas High School, before marrying his high school sweet heart Karen Judith Wacker in 1960. Dan graduated from San Francisco State University, then attended Boalt Hall at the University of California at Berkeley where he earned his Juris Doctorate. Dan joined his brother Thomas's law firm of Campbell, Van Voorhis and Bybee in Walnut Creek in 1965, before opening his own firm in 1975 - Van Voorhis and Skaggs with long-time friend and partner Sanford M. Skaggs. Specializing in real estate and local government law, the firm of Van Voorhis and Skaggs was eventually purchased by and merged with the firm of McCutchen, Doyle, Brown and Enersen in 1984 (today Bingham McCutchen).
Dan's efforts on behalf of his main client Blackhawk helped earn him an equity position in the company in 1975; the post of general counsel also in 1975, and in 1983 he was named as president of Blackhawk Corporation. In this capacity he spearheaded the development of the two largest real estate projects ever constructed in Northern California at that time, Blackhawk and Canyon Lakes. After his retirement in 1990, Dan devoted his tremendous energies and resources to establishing professional soccer in the US and founded, owned and operated the San Francisco Bay Blackhawks from 1988 to 1994. He was honored by Honda for his contribution to professional soccer in America in 1993, and was inducted to the California Association North Soccer Hall of Fame in August of 2004.
Remembered by all who knew him as a patriotic, loyal and immensely determined individual his exceptional intellect, vision, and ideas left a significant imprint on the landscape of Contra Costa County. Known by his family as a loving, generous and devoted man - his lasting impression as a charismatic and humourous person will long be recalled by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children Bekki Van Voorhis Gilbert, Kerry Malzahn, and John Daniel Van Voorhis, Jr. and by their mother Karen Judith Van Voorhis; his four grandchildren Nathaniel and Nicole Gilbert and Kaila and Eric Malzahn; and his five siblings Joann Hanna, G. Thomas Van Voorhis, Mari Edd, Barbara Van Voorhis Molloy and David E. Van Voorhis.
A private memorial service for family and friends will be held on April 7th at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory be made to Boalt Hall, University of California, Berkeley, California 9472-7200.

Pete Bennett, arrived in Contra Costa County in 1978 after leaving Florida over a series of unfortunate events occuring during his high school years from 1974 to 1978. There is an uncanny similiar connection between Florida and California.

Unfortunately the path to Adam Elliot, FBI Frank Doyle Jr. and his Grandfather Major General Dan Helix is bound via their mutual connection to the the Centennial Games in Atlanta, Los Angles, and Salt Lake City where one of former peers after Irwin Home Equity was killed like so many others rear ended by a Semi_Truck just outside of Las Vegas.

The unfortunate deaths of numerous students bears remarkable similarities on Contra Costa County resident. Pete Bennett and Dan Helix of Concord who is the grandfather of Adam was like Bennett v. Southern Pacific was embroiled in ligation with BNSF connected to a 1986 deal with Southern Pacific Transportation.
Bennett and Helix each have relatives that went to sleep. Each us knew City Attorney Mark Coon who committed suicide in Walnut Creek CA.
Mr. Haydell vanished around December 2013. No one knows for sure where he is but the Walnut Creek Police are mum. Your best clue is what they (Police) won't say. There is question homeless local to Walnut Creek have been killed. There is no question many around east bay and greater bay area have died via a long list of miladies and fates.

This man has been hit seven times within a 1/4 square mile of Traders Joes in Walnut Creek - deeper in the tape he states he landed on the windshield.
Then two months after I interviewed him he was hit again - he's still alive - his July 11th accident and mine was July20th but wait there is more -

Pete Bennett met Heather Seeley at Round Up Bar located in Lafayette
California sometime in 2012 or later. She was always in tears over
her daughter but also clearly upset with the facts around her death.
She would ask for certain songs which made her feel better. Pete sang
for her many times. One day she said her estranged husband was nearby.
I was stunned to learn he was employed Pacific Services credit union owned
by PG&E.

The correlation matches events at the Pulse Night Club, Bennett v. Southern Pacific, PG&E San Bruno, The Metcalf Sniper Attack, Mid-Atlantic Area and the fatal fall of defendant Gary Vinson Collins who perished inspecting an elevator shaft in Palo Alto CA.
