Pete Bennett became entangled with officers and public officials connected to the Contra Costa County Narcotics Enforcement Taskforce.  Some incidents began in the late eighties.  

Eventually the FBI arrested officers for Abuse of Authority of Color of Law and Official Right. Convictions were won but Bennett was financially wiped out, beaten and suffered severe medical events.   

In 2011, Chris Butler was represented by Bill Gagen of GagenMcCoy.com and partner Amanda Bevins.

Pete Bennett is personally connected tragic scenarios and has personally known most of the parties arrested, involved and in some cases murdered.    

The endless corruption dealings of Contra Costa County leads to the Contra Costa Bar and the internal mechanisms of the court.
